Randy F. Perry, 72 of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday morning at home.
Born Oct. 18, 1946 in Champaign, Ill., he was the son of Luther Elmo Perry and Lois Winters Perry.
He graduated from Covington High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from Purdue. He married Christina Taylor on July 14, 1980.
Mr. Perry started Perry Equipment in 1982 from his home and it grew from there into a very successful business through his knowledge and hard work. He loved to go fishing and watch Clint Eastwood movies. He had a huge heart and liked to help people and was a big contributor to local causes, including the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, the fire department, F.O. P., and Bras for a Cause. While his work was important to Mr. Perry, nothing was more important than his family.
Survivors include wife Christina Perry; daughter Michelle (Mark) Bickel; brothers Steve and Mark (Kathaleen) Perry of Veedersburg; grandson Perry Gus Bickel; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends and people he helped along the way.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Crawfordsville with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Family and friends may pay their respects from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Burkhart Funeral Home in Crawfordsville.
