LINDEN - The Lady Chargers hosted Sagamore Conference foe Danville Thursday evening looking to start their Conference season off on the right foot. However, the Warriors proved too much, leaving Charger gym with a 25-11, 25-19, 25-13 win.
The Warriors led 9-4 in set one before a rotation error on the Chargers cost them a point, and momentum. Danville (9-1, 1-0 SAC) would capitalize scoring 16 of the final 22 points of the set.
North kept things close in set two, holding a 5-3 lead early and got as close as 17-16, which forced a Warrior timeout. Cortney Kolger had four of her team leading seven kills in the set. Danville scored eight of the next 11 points to win the set 25-19.
