Back and forth. Back and forth.
That was how the night went for No. 2 doubles in the county match-up between Crawfordsville and North.
The ball game was all tied up. The Athenians took two and the Chargers took two. The night rested on two pairs: seniors Trey Barton and Cameron Douglas and freshman Matt Jackman and Jaxon Plant.
Dane Baldwin had won at No. 1 singles against Devon Plant to tie with the most records of Crawfordsville tennis wins. Plant had the upper hand for the first two games but Baldwin quickly came back to win 6-1, 6-0. Juan Huesca took a 6-1, 6-0 win against Luke Welliever. However, No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles for North put the game at a draw.
Mitch Merica and Tyler Swick only gave up one game staying just ahead of Sam Lucas and Reeve Hawkins. A slam from Merica brought the match to a close with No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles still battling it out.
