Reeve Hawkins helped CHS win by teaming with Trey Barton at No. 2 doubles.
Crawfordsville won the Montgomery County tennis title Wednesday night with a 4-1 win over North Montgomery.

Dane Baldwin got things going for the Athenians with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. Juan Huesca cruised at No. 3 to give Crawfordsville an early 2-0 lead.

Crawfordsville clinched things with wins from Chris King at No. 2 singles and Trey Barton / Reeve Hawkins at No. 2 doubles.

North Montgomery had Tyler Swick and Mitch Merica win at No. 1 singles.

"I'm proud of the boys. We didn't play a perfect match but we came out focused and found a way to win," head coach Michael Demeter said. "We need to work on limiting unforced errors and staying confident. But overall I'm proud of their performance and to be a part of another county title."

Crawfordsville (8-3) plays host to South Putnam today. The Chargers (7-9) travel to Seeger today.
