OXFORD -- All three county cross country teams met on Saturday for a 5k sectional run. On the boys side, Southmont had a fifth place team score of 113, followed by a sixth place Crawfordsville score of 130. North Montgomery ended up finishing eighth with 184. On the girls side, North Montgomery was the only county school with enough runners to place as a team. With a score of 99, the Chargers took fourth place.

Individually there were two boys county runners to finish in the top ten with Brooks Long finishing 4th and Davis Thompson finishing 9th. For the girls side Maddy Hurt of Crawfordsville was able to finish 4th, followed Hana and Haley Heide of North Montgomery finishing 11th and 13th, and Kelsey Dugger of Southmont in 15th.

Moving on to the regional are Manuel Arroyo, Thompson, and Nathan Pryor from Crawfordsville, Brandon Allenduff and Michael Munro from North Montgomery and Southmont as a team. For girls the entire North team, Dugger from Southmont, and Hurt from Crawfordsville advanced to the regional.

They will run Saturday at the Harrison regional.
