DANVILLE-The Southmont and Crawfordsville cross country teams competed at the Danville Hokum Karem on Saturday. The event differs from a traditional cross country race where an individual competes for the fastest time. At the Hokum Karem, two runners alternate distances to achieve the fastest time.

Crawfordsville's boys finished 13th at the event. They were the only of the four teams that had enough entries to qualify for a team score.

The top finish on the day, however, went to the Mounties. The boys team of Brooks Longa and Ross Lippencott was 17th on the day with a time of 32:34. Just behind was the Crawfordsville duo of Manuel Arroyo and Davis Thompson (32:35).

Team scores: 1. Hamilton Southeastern 8, 2. Lawrence North 16; 13. Crawfordsville 121; Southmont INC.
