Thanks to two more goals from Hannah Whicker and another from Paige Schueren, the Crawfordsville girls' soccer team is 5-0 on the year. They beat Benton Central Saturday by a final of 3-1.

"I thought we did a lot of good things in the first half and had a lot of chances but just needed to clean up our touches and passes," head coach Brent Bokhart said. "It was a physical game and Benton Central played aggressive and hard. I felt that we did a good job of adjusting to the physicality and finished strong in the last 25 minutes."

Whicker netted the first two goals, one in each half. Her goal in the second half broke a 1-1 tie. Schueren scored in the second half. Assists were credited to Ely Cervantes, Maddie Hudson and Karla Zapata.

Crawfordsville (5-0) has Lebanon at home on Wednesday.
