MICHIGANTOWN-The Crawfordsville volleyball team went 0-3 Saturday against very strong competition at the Clinton Central Invitational.

They started the day with Frontier and won the second set after dropping the first. Frontier won the deciding set to take the game. The Athenians also lost to Logansport and Clinton Central, both in straight sets.

Crawfordsville (14-9) travels to Western Boone Tuesday for a showdown with one of the Sagamore Athletic Conference's best teams.

MARTINSVILLE-North Montgomery and Southmont battled at the Martinsville Volleyball Invite Saturday with the Chargers coming away with the straight-set win.

It was the only win for either team on the day.

Southmont (5-18) plays host to South Vermillion tonight. North Montgomery (11-10) goes to Lafayette Central Catholic tonight.
