VEEDERSBURG - Crawfordsville fell behind 27-0 in its make-up wrestling dual against Fountain Central Wednesday night. The Athenians scored the next 47 points to win the dual, 47-27.

Robert Manns started the come back with a pin of his opponent at 182 pounds. Cade Burris followed that with a decision win. Deontace Peete took a forfeit at 220 and Nathan Bean picked up another pin at 285. Forfeits at 106 and 113 gave Crawfordsville the lead with three matches left. Skylar Crum won with a pin, Jonah Shillings picked up a decision and Cameron Douglass capped things with a technical fall to send the Athenians home happy.

Crawfordsville head coach Chris Ervin said that one of the outstanding performances of the meet came from Shillings, who won a tough overtime match in his return from a week-long injury hiatus.

The Athenians (11-9) will wrestle Saturday at North Montgomery for the Sagamore Athletic Conference Meet. Action starts at 9 a.m.
