The Warriors dominated on the court tonight against Monrovia.

Danville girls' basketball won 71-30.

"We shot fire from the 3-point line. The defense pressure was good tonight. We got up to pretty good lead before half time," said Coach Kayley May. "We focused on some things we needed to work on in the second half. One thing we are doing well in sharing the ball."

"Hannah Newby had four 3-pointers. She had a good year, made some tough physical changes."

The girls were 14-26 from the 3-point line.

May says the victory is due to "setting a tone early in defense. We've been working on traps and footwork. We're doing a good job of what we've been practicing. We're taking steps in the right direction."

Hannah Newby had 20 points tonight for the Warriors. Maleha Motter added 13 points, and Allie Lake had 10 more.
