The Danville Warriors fought for a great victory in their varsity girls' basketball playoff game today and ended up with a 71-48 win over the Greencastle Tiger Cubs.



The Warriors were on top of an eight point difference at the end of the first quarter. They went to war in the second quarter scoring 20 points and holding Greencastle to only six. In the fourth quarter the Tiger Cubs were on the hunt scoring 22 points to Danville's 17. This last charge still was not enough to take the win.



Maleha Motter led the Warriors with 19 points scored. She was joined by Allie Lake and Hannah Newby both scoring 11 points. Motter and Maddy Krodel led the team in free throws both of the girls completed three. Motter also led the team in rebounds with 10. Lake led the team in steals with seven takeaways from the Tiger Cubs.
