The Frankfort boys' basketball team got themselves in a hole in the first quarter and were unable to climb back out of it. The Hot Dogs lost 52-36 to the Zionsville Eagles.

"They were a very beatable team. We thought that was the game we could challenge them and come out with win. We knew it was going to be a dog fight. We came within six points of a 4A team, we take pride in that," said Coach Jarod Catron.

"We played hard, and we played well. We made it tough for them to get the ball inside," Catron said.

"At the end of the second quarter we were down just 10 points. Jarrod Smith came in with 6 points. They ended up getting couple runs and pulled away," Catron. "We just got to be smart with the ball."

Jarrod Smith had nine points tonight for the Hot Dogs. Jordan Campbell had eight points, and Cody Bray added seven more.

Come cheer on the Frankfort Hot Dogs Jan. 30 as they welcome the Crawfordsville Athenians for a Sagamore Conference match-up. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
