Things have been looking up for Lucas Turner and the South boys’ soccer team.
NEW MARKET-A slow start doomed the Southmont boys' soccer team against Sagamore Athletic Conference opponent Frankfort Tuesday night.

The Mounties did hold the high-powered Hot Dogs to three goals, but they couldn't find the net in a 3-0 loss.

"We came out slow but came together in the second half," head coach Brandon Rash said. "We played very tough in the second half. It was our best team efforts. We just need to capitalize on opportunities."

Southmont took eight shots in the second half, but they were turned away on each. Senior Devin Miller made eight saves in an effort commended by Rash.

Southmont (2-7, 1-3 SAC) will play host to No. 2 Tri-West on Saturday.
