The Sagamore Athletic Conference release its all-conference teams for girls' basketball on Thursday and Crawfordsville's Lacey Garrett was named a first-teamer.

Garrett was the only Montgomery County athlete on the first or second team. This year, the Athenian senior averaged 18.7 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game, 5.4 assists per game, 4.6 steals per game and became only the fourth girl in school history to reach 1,000 career points.

Garrett has committed to continue her education and basketball career at Taylor University.

Lebanon and Tri-West each had two first-team selections, while Danville, Western Boone, Frankfort and Crawfordsville had one.

Honorable mentions from Crawfordsville included senior Erika Brooks and juniors Paige Schueren and Kim Hampton. North Montgomery's honorable mentions were senior Conner Norman, junior Cheyenne Warren and sophomore Becca Adams. Sophomore Reagan Case and senior Aarika McKinsey represent Southmont.

Teams are typically allotted just two players as honorable mentions, but this year's official release to media included three. Crawfordsville Athletic Director Bryce Barton confirmed that the release was official.
