Tigers chomp Southmont
Friday, January 30, 2015 7:10 PM
LEBANON - The Lebanon boys basketball team was desperate for a win. That was costly for Southmont.
The Tigers had lost four in a row and eight of their last nine contests heading into Friday night's match-up with Southmont.
But thanks to a second-quarter run and a hot-shooting junior, the Tigers got the win they desperately needed. Trevor Lakes scored 31 points and the Tigers topped the Mounties 75-55.

LEBANON - When the Southmont boys' basketball team travels to Lebanon Friday night, they will be looking to stop a six-game losing streak and get moving in the right direction as the season gets into crunch time.
The Mounties have been slammed by as of late by injury and illness. That will increase the challenge of stopping Lebanon's star 6'6" sophomore, Trevor Lakes.

Charity stripe sends North to win
Friday, January 23, 2015 7:14 PM
LINDEN - On Friday night in Charger Gymnasium, quantity trumped quality for the North Montgomery boys' basketball team. The Chargers shot just 62 percent from the free throw line Friday, but with 50 attempts from the charity stripe, they connected on enough to get a win over Sagamore Athletic Conference rival Lebanon.
The Chargers were under the tutelage of assistant coach Pete Osterman, as head coach Joel Grindle received two technical fouls and was ejected from last Friday's contest against Danville. Grindle will return to the helm tonight when the Chargers go to West Lafayette.

Chargers, Tigers set for double dip of hoops
Wednesday, January 21, 2015 6:15 PM
LEBANON - There's a Sagamore Athletic Conference showdown set for Boone County Friday night. The North Montgomery Chargers will look to stay near the top of the league when they visit the Lebanon Tigers.
North Montgomery (7-6, 2-1 SAC) was handed their first conference loss of the season on Friday at Danville, 55-49. The Class 3A ninth-ranked Warriors (10-2, 3-0 SAC) sit atop the conference with a perfect league record.
The Chargers are averaging just over 55 points per game on offense, led by the Bethel-bound Grant Gayler. The Chargers' defense has been productive, giving up fewer than 50 points an outing.
