LINDEN -- The North Montgomery wrestling team will play host to the annual Holiday Duals Tuesday and Wednesday in the field house at North Montgomery High School.

Participating teams include North Montgomery, Bloomington South, Hamilton Southeastern, New Haven, Lebanon, Pendleton Heights, North Central, East Central, Elwood and Columbus North.

The Chargers (12-3) were ranked No. 6 in Class 2A by the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association in their last rankings on Dec. 18. Lebanon (11-4) was ranked No. 7 in the same rankings.

Hamilton Southeastern (8-0) is tabbed No. 9 in the Class 3A rankings.

Bloomington South (10-2) made it in the overall un-classed rankings by the IHSWCA at No. 18. Pendleton Heights (17-1) received votes in the un-classed poll.

Four of the teams in the tournament have losing records: North Central (2-5), East Central (1-7), Elwood (1-6) and Columbus North (7-12).

North Montgomery enters the duals with two state-ranked wrestlers. Senior Zach McCoy is polled at No. 13 in the state at 120 pounds. Sophomore Tanner Webster is No. 16 at 152 pounds.

Lebanon has three wrestlers ranked in the state. Caleb Bocock is 12th at 120 pounds, Austin Smith is No. 9 at 145 pounds and Kellen VanCamp is No. 6 at 152.

Hamilton Southeastern boasts five ranked wrestlers coming into the event. Klayton Anderson is No. 2 at 106 pounds as a freshman. Austin Holmes is No. 5 at 113 pounds. He took fourth at the state meet last season. Jack Chastain is No. 7 at 132 pounds. He was fifth at state last season at 126. Keegan Stansberry is No. 9 at 138 pounds and Jimmy Wallace is No. 15 at 145.

Griffin Schermer is ranked No. 9 at 132 pounds and Noah Hunt is No. 9 at 106 for Bloomington South.

Spencer McCool, No. 10 at 182 pounds is the only ranked wrestler for Pendleton Heights.

New Haven's Owen Doster is ranked No. 16 at 126 pounds.

The remaining teams do not have any state-ranked wrestlers.

Wrestling starts at 9 a.m. both days. All of the teams will wrestle each other over the course of two days with team results based on win / loss record and other criteria breaking ties.
