Tanner Webster (top) and Jesse Archer both finished Tuesday with an unblemished 5-0 record to open the annual Holiday Duals at North Montgomery.
LINDEN - The North Montgomery wrestling team opened the first day of their annual Holiday Duals with a 4-1 record. Their only loss of the day came at the hands of the undefeated program at Hamilton Southeastern, 50-15. The Royals finished the day with a 5-0 record, as did Bloomington South.

The Chargers opened the day with a 65-13 win over East Central followed by a 61-18 win over Elwood. After the lose to HSE, they beat New Haven 52-24 and Pendleton Heights 32-28.

Tanner Webster (152 pounds), Jesse Archer (160), Kobi Wray (170) and Cole Slavens (195) all finished the day with perfect 5-0 records.

Corwyn Hall (106), Zach McCoy (120) and Kevin Pierce (285) finished the day with a single loss against four wins. All of those losses came against Hamilton Southeastern (13-0). McCoy's loss was against Austin Holmes, who is ranked No. 5 at 113 pounds, but has split time between 113 and 120 this season.

The Chargers (16-4) will wrestle four more times today. They will take on Bloomington South, Columbus North, Lebanon and North Central. Wrestling starts at 8:30 a.m.
