YORKTOWN -- The No. 6 ranked Tigers jumped to an early 15-14 lead over No. 1 ranked Yorktown, but Yorktown's heavily ranked and experienced roster proved too much for the Tigers as they lost an 18-38 decision.

The boys wrestled tough and didn't quit, even scoring late points in one-sided matches to earn the respect of their coaches and opponent.

Winning for the Tigers were Caleb Bocock, Evan Stambaugh, Erik Hart and Michael Smith. Other exciting matches were No. 4 ranked Kellen VanCamp losing to No. 1 Cael McCormack, No. 12 ranked Austin Smith losing to the No. 4 ranked wrestler 2-0, and Griffin Steffy tied in quadruple overtime 5-5, but losing on criteria 6-5.
