FRANKFORT- Crawfordsville's boys' basketball team will have to do something for the second time this season if the Athenians want to play in the Sectional 25 championship game on Saturday. And that is defeat Sagamore Athletic Conference opponent Frankfort, but this time it will have to come on the Hoit Dogs' home court.

"The key to the first game was that we came prepared," said Crawfordsville head coach David Pierce. "We had a game plan and we wanted to work them. We took really good shots and were really patient on offense. We didn't get in an up and down game with them. We did get in transition but it was with guaranteed makes."w

Crawfordsville (10-10, 4-3 SAC) won that Jan. 31 game over Frankfort (16-6, 5-2 SAC) by a 68-55 score.

The Hot Dogs are led by three players who have scored over 1,000 points in their high school careers. Brody Kirby leads the team with 15.3 points per game followed by Christian Smith and Isaac Rudd with 15.1 and 11.2 points, respectively.

"We are going to have to help on defense, try to stop penetration and get out on the shooters," said Pierce. "Every shot they take we want to make sure they have a hand in their face."

The game is scheduled to start around 7:30 p.m. at Frankfort High School on Friday. The game will follow the first semifinal game between North Montgomery and Western Boone.
