LINDEN-North Montgomery took to the field Saturday to take on South Vermillion and lost in a close battle 3-2.

"I'm a little disappointed, obviously, because this is probably a game that we should win," head coach Mike Margeson said. "We created opportunities but we weren't able to finish, and then we conceded a couple of goals we probably shouldn't of conceded. Credit goes to South Vermillion for taking advantage of a few of our mistakes, we're just going to have to find a way to make fewer of them on Tuesday against North Putnam."-

For North Montgomery, Braiden Slavens went to work scoring one goal with the assist of Andrew Samuelson. Corbin Osborne scored one with an assist going to Slavens. Logan Slovacek followed it up with three saves for the Chargers. Going into halftime it was all tied up at 1-1, North Montgomery had 16 shots to South Vermillion's 10.

North Montgomery falls to 1-2 on the season. North Montgomery looks to fight back and take a win as they go on to face North Putnam at home Tuesday.
