Wabash College graduate and Washington High School boys basketball coach Gene Miiller captured his third State title in six years.

Miiller guided the Hatchets to a 65-62 overtime victory Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A State championship victory over Gary Wallace on Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Cody Zeller led No. 6-ranked Washington (23-3) with 20 points and a Class 3A State title game record-tying 26 rebounds. He tied the record set by Muncie Southside's Gerry Hall against Plainfield in 1999.

Bowman Academy (24-1) won the Class 1A championship, defeating Barr-Reeve (24-4) 74-52. Wheeler (27-1) won the Class 2A title, knocking off Park Tudor (15-11) 41-38. North Central defeated Warsaw 95-74 in the Class 4A State championship game. North Central finished 25-3, while Warsaw went 23-3.
