    LINDEN – No football team in the Sagamore Conference may have more of a different look this season than North Montgomery. The Chargers, who finished 8-4 overall and 5-2 in the Conference, graduated nearly 85 percent of their offense, and three of their five leading tacklers.

  • Parsons competes as All-Star

    INDIANAPOLIS – North Montgomery’s Alex Parsons played for the South All-Star team Friday in the 50th IFCA All-Star Football Classic at North Central High School. Despite the North team winning, Parsons had multiple tackles on defense.

    The Paper’s Girls Track & Field All-County Team had three runners, three field athletes and one who did both. There were four Chargers, two Athenians and one Mountie on All-Montgomery County.

    Isaac Hook has cooked since he was little. He cooked with his mom, he cooked for his college roommates and now he cooks for a bed-and-breakfast.

    The North Montgomery girls soccer camp lasted from Monday through Thursday this past week. The Charger coaching staff along with the varsity players helped with the first through sixth graders throughout the week on different soccer drills.

    Baylee Adams was a consistent threat at the plate for North Montgomery in the 2015-16 season. His plate appearances produced 42 hits total this year along with a .438 batting average. This, along with his catching leadership, has boosted Adams to The Paper’s 2016 Baseball Player of the Year.

    Montgomery County witnessed two State-ranked baseball teams by the end of the 2015-2016 season. Crawfordsville ended at No. 3 in the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association and North Montgomery finished at No. 10.
