The North Montgomery girls golf team could not shoot low enough to defeat Harrison on Monday.

Chargers sophomore Taylor Miller shot a team-low 43 on a par of 36. Junior golfer Megan Douglas followed behind Miller with a 45. Jaycee Walden and Scout Groves both finished with a 50. Chloe was two strokes higher than them with a 52 while Aryn Groves finished with a 67.

“They got beat tonight but they played really well.” Head coach Jason Douglas said. “A couple of girls scored the best they have ever played—they shaved 18 strokes off their team score.”

North Montgomery previous played North Putnam at Rocky Ridge on Aug. 18 where North Putnam only had two girls able to play. The scores were North Montgomery 104, North Putnam 109. Medalist was Megan Douglas with a 46.

The Chargers will be back in action on Aug. 25 where they will take part in a triangular meet with the host Central Catholic and Clinton Prairie.
