Kinsey Humphreys scored one of
the three goals for North in their first win of the season. Lillia Mitchell and
Kathryn Sabens knocked in the other two for a shutout on home territory.
The game was a one-goal game at
half time but North sprinted ahead.
“This was a total team win,”
Coach Julie Hodges said. “For the first time, we finally clicked everywhere on
the field together.”
Becca Adams had nine saves and
the defenders were like brick walls.
“Defense won this game for us,
keeping their shape and marks like we have been practicing,” Hodges said.
The girls are now 1-8 and will
be in action again on Thursday for a conference match against Frankfort.
