Joining Brook Karle on the All-County Volleyball first team from North Montgomery are Lindzy Sabens, Ally French and Cortney Kolger.

Sabens, a senior, was a Player of the Year candidate. Against county schools, she had 12 service points, 14 digs, 13 receptions with no errors and 17 kills.

"'Sparky' is a total player," North Montgomery head coach Jodi Webster said of Sabens. "Her dynamic court personality and strong work ethic inspired the Chargers. Her ability to attack from anywhere on the court made her a force to be reckoned with."

Kolger and French are both juniors. Kolger had 15 kills, 20 digs, 21 service points and 25 receptions in county action. She was third on the team overall with 221 kills, behind Sabens and French. French finished the year with 223 kills, 16 less than Sabens for the team lead. She had 16 kills in county play.

From Crawfordsville, Kim Hampton and Lacey Garrett were first team selections. Hampton did it all for the Athenians. She led the team with 226 kills and 50 blocks and was second with 37 aces and 274 digs. Garrett played Libero for the Athenians and was a Player of the Year Candidate for her leadership on the court and defensive prowess. She led the team with 458 digs and 561 service receptions. She only made 26 receiving errors all season, putting her serve receive success at 95.5 percent.

Abby Bullerdick was the lone first team selection for Southmont. She played every position for Southmont, including setter when needed. She finished the year with 168 kills and 58 aces to lead the team. She was second on the team with 247 digs.

Honorable mentions for North Montgomery are junior Carli Cahill and senior Megan Warren. Warren was the setter and finished the year with 815 assists. Cahill had her breakout season in 2014. She finished with 80 kills, complementing the attack of Sabens, Kolger and French.

Senior Mackie Edwards and junior Hannah Hungerford represent Crawfordsville as honorable mentions. Edwards finished third on the team with 111 kills. She also had 20 aces and 33 blocks. Hungerford was second behind Hampton with 169 kills. She led the club with 43 aces and was third with 221 digs.

Southmont's honorable mentions are senior Sammy White and junior Kaiti Chadd. White capped her career with 148 kills and 20 blocks. Chadd was the libero for Southmont, tallying 365 digs, 42 aces and 431 service receptions.

Players of the Year and All-County teams are chosen by the Montgomery County head coaches and the sports staff of The Paper of Montgomery County.
