The Tri-West boys' basketball team had a well-deserved win tonight against New Palestine.

"We used a 28 point first quarter and 19-24 from the free throw line, most of those down the stretch, to win," says Coach Adam Bontreger. The Bruins won 92-80.

"Trevor Waite had a huge first quarter with 15 points and ended with 29 points for the night,"says Bontreger.

Trevor Waite led the Bruins tonight with 29 points. Following him was Peyton Hendershot with 17 points, Tyler Watson with 15 points, Connor Miller with 12 points, and Jake Hendershot with 10 points.

"It's huge to beat a quality 4A program like New Palestine. It gives our kids confidence to compete against anyone anywhere," says Bontreger.

The Tri-West Bruins are going to need this confidence Jan. 23 as they travel to Speedway. The game will start at 7:30 p.m.
