The Tri-West boys' basketball team had a close game tonight the Speedway Sparkplugs, but in the end the Bruins triumphed 60-50.

"It was a tough game and Speedway played us well," said Coach Adam Bontreger. "We knew that Speedway would be a tough place to play and it was."

"We held the ball up five with 3:30 to go and made them foul. We 9-10 free throws down the stretch."

"Connor Miller had a nice game with 12 points, and Trevor Waite had 19 and hit free throws down the stretch," Bontreger.

Jake Hendershot added 11 points, as well. Peyton Miller had nine points, and Tyler Watson had six.

"We're just happy to be able to finish them off in the fashion we did down the stretch. It was a nice win and good game for us to gain experience playing with a small lead in the end of the game. We made excellent decisions," Bontreger. "We always expect to win no matter the opponent."

Come out tomorrow night and see if Tri-West lives up to their expectations of always winning as they face South Putnam. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
