South battled three matches with Tri-West but couldn’t pull out the wins. The Bruins took three 25-23, 25-16, 25-15.
The Mounties kept rallying but lost the rallies. The first one started when their first set changed course after an 8-0 lead by the Bruins. With an ace from Kaylee VanCleave and a kill from Brittany Barrett, the Mounties were back in the game 11-8. The battle was neck and neck as the Mounties slowly started catching up until it was tied at 19-19. Barrett tipped the ball to the middle hole to pull up 20-19.
