The Western Boone Stars dominated on the court tonight against the North Putnam Cougars.

The boys' basketball team won the game by nearly doubling the points of their opponent. Stars won 76-41.

The team's win is not the only thing exciting that happened tonight. Riggs Baxter broke the school's scoring record of 47 for one game with 48 points tonight. The 47 point record was set in 1979 by Paul Nicley.

The Stars also had near half the amount of turnovers tonight. Stars had a low nine, compared to North Putnam's 17.

Baxter was the leading scorer tonight with 48 points. Returning starter Kaleb McCloskey was next with 11 points.
