After a long, tough battle on the court tonight, the Western Boone boys' basketball team came out victorious.

Even though the boys were down at half time, they were able to get in a few more baskets and take the lead, winning 56-50.

"It was a pretty tough outcome for us all night. Kind of kept points within eight (of Greencastle); got down to five one time. Got a couple three (pointers). Good game on the road. All around team win. Good effort from every one," Coach Scott McClelland said.

"Andrew Westmoreland had a career high of 9 points tonight. Hayes Henderson came off the bench and gave good start."

"We knew it was going to be a tough game on the road. We're still playing without two starters due to injury. Managed to scrap stuff together when we needed it," McClelland.

Starters Jason Smith and Kaleb McCloskey are still out with foot-related injuries, but McClelland says, "We're optimist. We hope to get them back next week, but nothing set in stone just yet."

Come on out Jan. 30 as the Stars welcome the North Montgomery Chargers beginning at 7:30 p.m.
