State Road 234 Bridge over Sugar Creek Closing February 1st

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 234 will close on or after Monday, February 1 at the bridge over Sugar Creek located north of Shades State Park.  This is for a bridge deck replacement. The roadway is scheduled to reopen July 15.

The official detour follows S.R. 47 to U.S. 41 and back.

This project was awarded to Force Construction Co, Inc. for $2.1 million. The contract also includes the S.R. 234 Bridge over Little Raccoon Creek, located over five miles west of S.R. 75. This closure is scheduled for August 1 through October 19.
