Veterans News Letter

Well we are in for some bad weather so we will just have to wait! We took 2 people to the VA Hospital 1 to Brownsburg and 1 to Danville, Ill.

I also had 21 visitors to my office where I spent time on claims & I also received a total of 81 phone calls into my office. I will be going to the American Legion Post on the 3rd of Feb. from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  I will also be going to the VFW  Post 1431 on the 24 th of Feb. from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

We also received our new Van from 2 years ago. We are grateful Hoosier Heartland State Bank to the DAV-Tri-County Bank and Trust and the Community Foundation for their support. The reason it took so long was due to the Covid.

We now have a new program called the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) which the Congress just funded for the next 5 years. This program provides a discount of $30.00 per month on individuals home internet bill and a one-time $100 device fee.  There is also an option to receive a tablet with monthly internet paid for, in which qualifying individuals receive a tablet and a monthly data plan for a one time activation fee of $11 (often covered by a local non-profit therefore it is no cost to veterans). A military veteran qualifies if they receive a VA compensation or a VA Pension

Spouses receiving survivor benefits also may qualify.  Contact Allied One Solutions at 765-273-7585
