Youth as Resources Gives Grants

In 2021 Youth as Resources (YAR) made grants to groups such as North Montgomery High School’s Bowling Team and North Montgomery High School’s FFA to make blankets for children at Riley Hospital and Ronald McDonald house. North Montgomery FFA also included other student-led groups at the High School to help make these blankets.

YAR holds fundraisers throughout the year to fund these grants. However, with COVID those fundraisers have been on pause. But we are looking forward to starting those up again soon. All of the money raised from these fundraisers are placed in the Youth as Resources grant pool and given out to local youth groups and organizations in need of financial assistance with their youth-led service projects.

Youth, youth groups, and organizations that have youth-led projects are eligible to apply for YAR funds and support. Grants range from $25 to $500. Approved projects must be youth-authored and youth-led, involve both youth and adults, impact the community in an important way, provide maximum services for a minimum cost, and teach youth both the long and short term value to the community.
