Perry Lee Yeley

Perry Lee Yeley, 82, of Crawfordsville passed away Monday at home.

He was born March 1, 1940 in Crawfordsville to Lester M. & Nettie Fields Yeley.

Mr. Yeley had worked at Midstates Wire in Crawfordsville and retired as a Firefighter with the City of Lafayette. He also worked as a painter at Purdue University. Perry married Karen Stout, January 21, 1966.

Survivors include his wife Karen Stout; three children Kevin Wood, Glinda (Terry) Alkire and Lynette (Mark) Richardson; brother Archie “Doc” Yeley; sister Betty Carver; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings Margaret Powell, Leroy Yeley and Fred Yeley.

A funeral service is scheduled to be held 2 p.m. on Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Saunders officiating. Visitation is scheduled to run from 12 – 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
