CEL&P To “Fill The Bucket” With A Community Food Drive

Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power (CEL&P) employees are hosting our first “Fill the Bucket” community food drive to benefit the FISH Food Pantry of Montgomery County. As your Public Power provider, CEL&P takes pride in providing our customers with reliable, low-cost electricity while giving back to the community we serve.

Thursday – Oct. 4, customers are invited to join CEL&P employees as they “Fill the Bucket” by bringing non-perishable donations to CEL&P’s lobby, drive-thru, or given directly to CEL&P employees that you see working in the community.

CEL&P employees will deliver the collected items to the FISH Food Panty on Oct. 5 in coordination with other community service activities the company will be participating in during Public Power Week.

“Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power has been part of the Crawfordsville community for over 130 years,” said Phil Goode, General Manager of CEL&P. “The company and employees are always looking for ways to give back to those we serve. Ending the food drive during Public Power Week allows our employees and customers to come together and support our local food bank while celebrating the benefits of public power.”

Suggested donation items include, but are not limited to:

• Non-perishable food items such as pasta, soup, peanut butter, and jelly

• Baby formula and baby foods

• Diapers

• Personal care items such as deodorants, hair care products, feminine hygiene, shaving needs, laundry detergent

Please contact CEL&P via email at [email protected] or by phone at (765) 362-1900 Ext. 8045 with any questions regarding the food drive.
