Lew Wallace Study Seeks Volunteers For Park Day

The General Lew Wallace Study, in cooperation with the American Battlefield Trust, invites local history enthusiasts to participate in Park Day 2023. Park Day will be held on April 15th from 9-12. Park Day is an annual work day hosted at Civil War and American Revolution sites across the nation. The General Lew Wallace Study & Museum is the only site in Indiana to participate.

Volunteers will be ‘sprucing up’ the grounds by mulching the gardens, raking leaves, painting, setting up the picnic area, gathering sticks, dividing perennials and potting up seedlings. The volunteers will receive a free tour of the Study. The Museum will have a limited supply of tools and volunteers are encouraged to bring their favorite garden implement. Light refreshments will be provided.
