Carly Joy McAlister, age 28, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at her home. She was born in Crawfordsville on October 30, 1994 to Marlon and Tracy Joy (Vance) McAlister.

Carly graduated from South Montgomery High School in 2013 and was working on starting her own cleaning service. She enjoyed going to the gym, hula hooping, hiking, dancing, and singing. She loved her cat, Marvin and shopping, especially for purses and shoes.

Carly is survived by her parents, Tracy (Bob Bowling) McAlister and Marlon (Julie Surface) McAlister; her brother, Levi (Samantha) McAlister; two nephews, Kamryn and Nikoles; a niece, Piper; her grandmother, Vera Cheek; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ag and Sue Vance; paternal grandfather, Sam McAlister; Uncle, Bob Vance; and cousins, Angela Bontz and Tucker Brown.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3:00pm. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Carly’s name to the Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big 4 Arch Road, Crawfordsville IN 47933.
