Athens Arts – A Bonus Stop On The Garden & Arts Tour

The Athens Arts is participating in the Flower Lovers Garden Club’s 16th Garden & Arts Tour on Sunday June 25th. Athens Arts, a not-for-profit art gallery and art center, moved locations and is now located at 216 E Main Street. As in the past, the gallery will be open as a Bonus Stop for those visiting the nine beautiful gardens on this year’s tour. The gallery offers a welcoming resting spot for those needing a break from the afternoon sun while viewing the diversity of art, all by local artists, on display. Another bonus, featured artist Jolynn Reigeluth ‘s art show “Too Little, Too Late”, is currently on exhibit. In her own words, Jolynn notes that her “current work earnestly and humorously reflects on the emotional and physical aspects of the human condition and its twisted ironies. The images are born of a fascination with the most ‘unmentionable’ yet ubiquitous human characteristics and the absurdity of long-standing gender expectations.” You won’t want to miss this exhibit!

If you haven’t visited the new gallery facility yet, this is the perfect opportunity! If you have, remember the artwork is always changing so come see what’s new! Celebrate the arts incorporated in the Garden & Arts Tour by stopping at Athens Arts Gallery. Located on 216 E. Main St., the gallery will be open from 11 to 5 the day of the tour.
