Teresa L. (Busenbark) Pickett-Cotton

Teresa L. (Busenbark) Pickett-Cotten, age 73 of Lafayette, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Crawfordsville on June 30, 1949 to the late Kenneth & Dorothy (Miller) Busenbark.

Teresa graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1968. She married, John Pickett on November 27, 1971, he preceded her in death on June 16, 1999. She then married, Martin Cotten on April 29, 2007, he preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. Throughout the years she worked at Walmart Optical Lab, Subway, and was clerk/treasurer at Alamo. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, crocheting, reading, had a large collection of mystery novels, loved traveling and attending church.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Dale (wife-Lauren) Pickett of Pennsylvania, Jonathan Shayne Pickett of Mississippi, and Jason Matthew Pickett of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, Ashton, Ryan, Devin, Sabrina, Sean, and Conor; 2 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Judy (husband-Ray) Estep; and three step-sisters, Nancy Stephens, Jerry Priebe, and Judy (husband-Jim) Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Pickett and Martin Cotton; her twin brother, Garrett Busenbark; half-brother, Joe Fry; half-sister, Sharon Verhey; and three step-brothers, Ernie Priebe, Larry Priebe, and Billy Joe Priebe.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 11:00 am till the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm with Pastor Randall Glenn officiating.
