Debra Jo “Debbie” (Harvey) Lee

Debra Jo “Debbie” (Harvey) Lee, age 64, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. She was born on March 09, 1960, in Crawfordsville to Donald Harvey, Sr. and Peggy Arlene Taylor; Debra was raised by her late stepfather, Larry Dean Taylor.

Debra graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1978. She married the love of her life, Stuart Graham Lee on August 9, 1994, and together they shared 30 happy years.

Debra enjoyed working at Goodies in Crawfordsville where she started as set up crew and worked her way up to assistant manager. Additionally, Debra spent 10 years working at RR Donnelley and Sons. Most recently, Debra was working at the Family Crisis Center, which she thoroughly enjoyed and was recently promoted before her passing. Her favorite job of all was raising her grandchildren.

Debra loved babies, where there was a baby, she could be found, whether it be a baby, kitten, or puppy. She had a deep love for animals and always teased Stuart about moving to a farm and never getting rid of any animals they came across. Debra’s favorite season was spring because of the newness it brings. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and watching NASCAR.

Debra will be deeply missed by her husband, Stuart; children, April (John) Hodges, Dennis Phelps, Jacob (Ariel) Lee; her mother, Peggy Arlene Taylor; a brother, David (Patti) Harvey; grandchildren, Tyler Hodges, Brandon Hodges, Caidyn Phelps, Kori Phelps, Brighton Lee, Eli Lee, and Jaxon Lee; great-granddaughter, Raven Hodges; and several nieces and nephews.
