Traffic Pattern Shift Here For A While

The traffic pattern shift on Interstate 74 will be with us for a while – several months.   The Indiana Department of Transportation said that crews opened the right lane of I-74 westbound and switched to a single-lane closure in the left lane. The plan this week is that crews will switch the lane closure from the right lane to the left lane in the eastbound lanes. Crews have been patching I-74 between State Road 25 and S.R. 32 since mid-April, with construction anticipated to be complete by mid-November, weather-permitting.

INDOT continues to encourage drivers to slow down and abide by the speed limit (which is posted on the digital speed limit signs), and avoid distracted driving.
