Celebration of Unity Sept. 6

Humans United for Equality welcomes all to the 7th Annual Celebration of Unity at Pike Place on Sept. 6 from 4-8 p.m. This family friendly event will consist of live performances on stage, bounce houses, interactive activities and information booths. There will be more than 30 different organizations represented this year.

Nearly everything is free to the public, including face paint, balloon animals, henna tattoos and delicious hotdogs sponsored by HHSB. Additional food will be available for purchase.

Each year, the Celebration of Unity brings residents of Montgomery County together to increase understanding and cultivate belonging.

If you’re unsure if this is an event for you, worry not; it’s for everyone. Bring your lawn chair and comfortable shoes, and experience unity in community. Don’t forget to charge your phone because this will certainly be a moment you will want to capture and share with your online communities.

The 2025 Celebration of Unity is sponsored by the City of Crawfordsville, Hoosier Heartland State Bank, Penguin Random House, Montgomery County League of Women Voters, Wabash College, Malcolm X Institute, Wabash College Athletics, Nucor, Joshi Pediatrics, The Paper of Montgomery County, Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church and First Christian Church. This event would not be possible without their generous support.
