HHSB’s Jill Pettit Celebrates 5 years

Hoosier Heartland State Bank is proud to recognize Jill Pettit for five years of service to the bank. Pettit is a Mortgage Loan Officer for Montgomery County.

Pettit joined the HHSB team as a Mortgage Portfolio Manager in 2020. She was promoted at the beginning of the year to Mortgage Loan Officer. She has 20 years of experience in the banking industry, including 12 years in real estate lending. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, she assists clients in securing financing for their home purchases or refinancing needs, providing personalized guidance through every step of the mortgage process.

“Jill’s deep understanding of mortgage portfolio management, combined with her dedication to our customers and community, has made her instrumental in the success of our department,” Trent Smaltz, Chief Lending Officer at HHSB, said.

Pettit is actively involved in the Montgomery County community. She leads the bank’s financial literacy program for local youth and has helped local businesses secure Elevate Small Business grants from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. She also serves as treasurer for the Montgomery County United Band & Guard and team leader of the stewardship team at Whitesville Christian Church.

In addition, she is a member of Montgomery County MIBOR and the Community Emergency Response Team. She graduated from the Montgomery County Leadership Academy in 2019 and was a contestant in the Youth Service Bureau’s Dancing With the Stars in 2024. Pettit and her husband Brandon reside in Crawfordsville with daughters Olivia and Vanessa.
