Lunch, Leadership and Learning: Free Sessions Aim to Inspire Local Professionals

The Montgomery County Leadership Academy is hosting a pair of free Lunch & Learn sessions Oct. 29th and Nov. 5th at the Hoosier Heartland State Bank Success Center, giving area professionals a chance to build their leadership skills in an engaging, practical setting.

Each session includes lunch and focuses on topics designed to spark reflection, encourage personal growth, and help participants develop tools they can bring back to their workplaces. The programs also serve as an introduction to the Montgomery County Leadership Academy’s six-month signature leadership program, which launches in March of 2026.

“These sessions are a great way for employers to engage with leadership development,” said Monica Nagele MCLA Board President “We’re encouraging organizations to send at least two representatives, people who are curious, motivated, and ready to take the next step in their professional journey.”

The first session, “Discover Your Strengths: An Introduction to the CliftonStrengths Assessment,” will take place Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will be led by Cassie Hagan and Jeff Lucas. The program introduces participants to the CliftonStrengths framework, showing how understanding and leveraging individual strengths can transform leadership, communication, and teamwork.

The second session, “Dare to Dream: Living With Intention and Possibility,” will be led by author and educator Shannon Anderson on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will explore what it means to dream boldly and take intentional steps toward meaningful goals. Through guided reflection and practical exercises, attendees will learn how to align their daily choices with their strengths and build confidence in pursuing both personal and professional growth.

Both sessions will be held at the Hoosier Heartland State Bank Success Center, 1623 U.S. 231 in Crawfordsville. Seating is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Sessions are Sponsored by Durham Home, Inc., Everwise Credit Union and FC Tucker.
