C’ville Middle Students to Speak at Lunch With League
Students of Crawfordsville Middle School’s eighth grade English Language Arts Class will be the next speakers at the Lunch with the League on Friday at noon.
The students will talk about their trip to Springfield, Ill. to visit several historical and educational sites honoring our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. They’ll be highlighting their favorite places, what they observed and what they learned about Lincoln, his life and how he impacted our country. As a precursor to the eighth grade social studies curriculum content covering the Civil War, the trip served to provide background knowledge of the role Lincoln played in the navigation of the Union into, through and beyond the Civil War.
Bring your lunch and join the League of Women Voters Friday at noon to hear about this fascinating and rewarding trip! Lunch with the League will be held at the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church located at 307 S. Washington St. Parking is available in the back of the church where the entrance to the church is located.
Lunch with the League is a free program offered in the public interest sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County.
