Foundation Has Matching Grant Opportunity

The Montgomery County Community Foundation plans to apply for a $750,000 Matching Fund Grant through the ninth phase of Lilly Endowment Inc.‘s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow. This grant is one of two funding opportunities available to the community foundation through GIFT IX, for which Lilly Endowment has allocated up to $271.5 million to support Indiana’s community foundations in their efforts to enhance the quality of life across the state.

As a result of the GIFT IX Initiative, all gifts to unrestricted funds at MCCF will be matched $2 for every $1 given. The matching period began Oct. 1 and will continue as long as funds are available, or until June 30, 2028.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, assets of the Montgomery County Community Foundation have grown steadily over the years. However, unrestricted resources, which are used to address our community’s greatest needs, continue to have greater demand. GIFT IX has the potential to significantly impact our community for many years to come. Building our unrestricted endowment will allow us more flexibility and a greater capacity to address critical needs as they arise in our community.

“If you would like to take advantage of the GIFT IX Initiative, please call us at 362-1267, visit www.mccf-in.org/gift-ix, or feel free to stop by our office,” Kelly Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation said.  “We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you and help you make a lasting investment in your community.”
