Deputy Prosecutor Jacob Moore Speaks at Lunch With the League

Jacob Moore will be the speaker on Friday, January 9, 2026, Lunch with the League. A native of Montgomery County, he has worked with the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office as a deputy prosecutor since 2020. 

Prior to that, Moore has experience working at the law firm of Henthorn, Harris & Weliever and as a public defender with the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office serving as a defense attorney in the Montgomery County Drug Treatment Court.  Currently he is assigned to Superior Court 2 but has also served in all three of the Courts in Montgomery County. He is the prosecutor’s representative in the Drug Treatment Court and is a member of the County’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Lunch with the League will take place in Whitlock Hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church Friday at noon.  Plan to bring a sack lunch or a lunch from any of the offerings in town and hear Moore present an overview of the duties and function of the prosecutor’s office, including participation in the Drug Treatment Court, Veterans’ Court, electronic search warrants and financial fraud cases. Moore will also talk about the future challenges the office might face in the coming years and his vision for the future of the office. 

Lunch with the League is a free program offered in the public interest sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County.
