Elston Memorial Foundation Gets Grant
In 2025, Indiana Landmarks awarded $3,226,856 to help nonprofits and cities around Indiana save meaningful places, including one in Crawfordsville. Drawing from a variety of funds, these grants support efforts ranging from architectural assessments and repairs at historic structures, to programs, workshops, videos, and digital walking tours promoting preservation and heritage.
Locally, the Elston Memorial Foundation was granted $4,000 for development of historic structures report for 1882 Queen Anne-style house. This money came from the Efroymson Family Endangered Places Grants. The goal is to support architectural and structural assessments, rehab cost analyses, reuse studies, and fundraising planning. In 2025, Indiana Landmarks made 13 grants totaling $41,840. The fund honors the Efroymson family’s significant support of the organization’s endangered places programs.
