Greenfield Teen Killed in Montgomery County Wreck

A Greenfield teenager died in a one-car accident Monday in Montgomery County.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Kinsley L. Gruss from Greenfield was killed when a 2002 Suzuki XL-7 traveling east on Interstate 74 crossed the media, both westbound lanes and rolled over after going into the ditch.

Gruss was thrown from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead.

Police say they were not immediately sure why the Suzuki left the road. But they did confirm that officers were working multiple accidents because of the inclement weather. If anyone has any information on the accident they are urged to contact Det. Jared Kirby or Capt. Jake Watson at (765) 362-3740.

Agencies assisting the MCSO were the Indiana State Police, the Crawfordsville Fire Department, the Waynetown Fire Department, Montgomery County Coroner and Froedge’s Towing.
