HHSB Promotes Zach Hockersmith to High Leadership Position
HHSB is pleased to announce the promotion of Zach Hockersmith to Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, as well as his appointment to the bank’s Board of Directors. In his expanded role, Hockersmith will continue to oversee the bank’s financial health and strategy while also helping guide the organization’s long-term growth and stability.
Hockersmith joined the HHSB team in 2010 after graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in Finance and Economics. Over the past 16 years, he has served the bank in several key roles, including Loan Officer, Branch Manager, AVP of Retail, and VP Controller before joining the executive leadership team as Chief Financial Officer in 2021.
“Zach has been an integral part of our leadership team and our bank’s continued growth,” said HHSB President/CEO Brad Monts. “His leadership, financial expertise, and commitment to our mission and values make him exceptionally well suited for this expanded role. As an employee-owned bank, we are proud to see leaders like Zach grow within our organization, and we look forward to the insight and perspective he will bring to our Board of Directors.”
“HHSB is a special place to be because of how well our team takes care of people and how that culture has been sustained for so many years,” said Hockersmith. “I’m grateful to be part of an organization that is so committed to its customers, employees, and community.”
Hockersmith and his wife, Casey, are lifelong residents of Montgomery County. They have been married for 15 years and live in Crawfordsville with their two sons, Hudson and Camden. He enjoys spending time outdoors, being with family, golfing, and working on home projects. He also helps coach Southmont youth football and baseball and is a member of Rock Point Church.
In addition to coaching, he is actively involved in the community. Hockersmith serves as a board member for the Montgomery County Medical Care Trust and the Montgomery County Community Foundation and is a part of MCCF Bridge Inc., where he helps support the Early Learning Center. He is also involved with the Indiana Bankers Association, serving on the Future Leadership Division Advisory Board.
